Sepulveda Likely to Kick Against TCU
Daniel Sepulveda said that after talking with his parents, his coaches and his doctor, he's likely to kick against TCU in this Sunday's matchup. Only 4 months removed from surgery to repair his ACL, the 2004 Ray Guy Award winner is wanting to get back on the field.
I think this is a pretty amazing recovery, but I hope the coaches are being smart about this. Having Daniel available to punt in conference play, when we want those Big XII offenses as much of the field to cover as possible is MUCH more important than an extra 5-8 yards per punt against TCU. Especially if the cost of those extra yards is DS sitting out a couple more games because he tweaked it again.
I guess we could rest him against NWSU and Army if it gets a little sore, but this would definitely be a risky move.
But it's his risky move to make.
